Lisa Adams

Lisa has a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) from UNSW and a Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University with Honours. She founded Apple-A-Day Dietetics ten years ago with the aim of making quality nutritional advice as accessible as possible.

She has experience working in public hospitals, nursing homes and private practice. Her specialty areas are weight loss, chronic disease management (including diabetes, cardiovascular, renal and pulmonary disease) and healthy ageing. She is passionate about healthy eating and nutrition, and is able to provide dietary advice in a friendly, relaxed environment. Lisa currently runs our Gold Coast, Loganholme, Rochedale, Jimboomba and Mt Warren Park clinics as well as providing a home visiting service throughout Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast. Her passion for dietetics lies in community and aged care, nutrition for the elderly and chronic disease management. She has completed additional training in paediatric nutrition and bariatric nutrition and is nearly finished her diabetes educator qualification. She believes that there is no single perfect diet. but tailors nutritional advice to suit the individual.

Lisa is a busy mum with two small children, so understands how difficult it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle while juggling other commitments. She enjoys going to the beach, seeing live bands, cooking and building lego. She used to enjoy going to the gym, sleeping in and reading.
